26 Years Young
J and I made up last night and we both slept like logs. Smitten decided to join us and slept on J's feet. They both snore but it is more humorous than annoying. Today was a lovely day both weather and event-wise. The sun was shining in a mostly clear sky the air was warm but not humid. After a light breakfast J and I attended our church service. The message was "Who do you trust?" and really hit home. Our pastor is really wonderful and cares for our congregation. He also is one of the few who preach the true Word of God. After church my in-laws handed me a little birthday goodie bag complete with 60 calorie dark chocolate sticks *drool*, a pack of Orbit gum, and the most comfortable cobalt blue slippers I have ever owned. J and I headed home for a quick lunch before going shopping. After we finished off our ramen noodles and mixed vegetables we headed to town before my induction ceremony. I bought three really cute neopet plushies, an anniversary card for J, and some Christian Christmas cards (say that 5 times fast). We went to our local ice cream parlor and shared a three scoop cup of chocolate chip cookie dough. After we finished our ice cream, we headed to the college for the induction ceremony. I was really excited, very nervous, and felt a bit out of place as I only knew a few people there at first. Things went very smoothly though and I even managed to not twist my bad ankle while walking with a candle. The ceremony itself was simple yet beautiful. I wish I could explain it but sadly it is something one must see for themself. Anyway, I made new friends and learned the names of some really cool people I have (somewhat) known for a semester or two. J got some nice pictures of me with one of our advisors and the college President. We did not stay overly long as we were hungry and had to get some food for the week. For dinner J cooked up beef, peppers, and taco seasoning and I ate that plus some cheese in pita pockets. He even did dishes because it is my birthday! I even had my parents call up and sing "Happy Birthday" to me. *giggle* It really was a beautiful birthday. Now it is time to relax and unwind before bed as I have a huge day ahead of me. I am now 26 years young, an official member of PTK, and have been married almost 4 years. I wonder what God has in store for me and just hope I can do my best for Him. Many blessings to you all! *mammoth hugs*
